GOSAC-N - XACML http://www.gosac-n.org/taxonomy/term/23/0 en Oasis Webinar Questions/Answers http://www.gosac-n.org/forums/oasis-webinar-questionsanswers
Hello everyone, I thought I might share what Oasis had to say about my questions regarding some XACML practices:

Q: How does XACML resolve duplicate policy IDs?
A: The XACML spec requires that all policy sets, policies, and rules be uniquely identified. The uniqueness is defined on the element id + version number e.g. policy set id + version number. Duplicate policy IDs are therefore an error which should be reported by the PDP.

Q: Is it good practice to always wrap a policy in a policy set? This allows technologies like JAXB to unmarshal to a known type.

http://www.gosac-n.org/forums/oasis-webinar-questionsanswers#comments Standards Forum XACML Tue, 14 Jun 2011 21:35:41 +0000 rkozura 29 at http://www.gosac-n.org GeoXACML http://www.gosac-n.org/node/24
GeoXACML (an extension of XACML), commonly referred to as GeoXACML, is a language designed to specify access control policies to Geo-Spatial data. Geo-XACML uses XACML’s extension points, meaning the ability to define their own attributes, value spaces, predicates, and functions to check if a given attribute has a specified value.

http://www.gosac-n.org/node/24#comments Convex Hull geo-spatial data geoxacml Symmetric Difference two-dimensional map Union XACML Tue, 31 May 2011 15:38:19 +0000 dwijesekera 24 at http://www.gosac-n.org Demystify the Web and XML Standard Soup in GOSAC-N (Part 1) http://www.gosac-n.org/node/23
Demystify the Web and XML Standard Soup in GOSAC-N (Part 1)

Nick Duan, nick.duan.ctr@technicacorp.com, 5/26/2011

http://www.gosac-n.org/node/23#comments OASIS Open Standards SAML W3C WS-Security XACML Thu, 26 May 2011 20:01:11 +0000 nduan 23 at http://www.gosac-n.org Demystify the Web and XML Standard Soup in GOSAC-N (Part 1) http://www.gosac-n.org/node/22
Demystify the Web and XML Standard Soup in GOSAC-N (Part 1)
Nick Duan, nick.duan.ctr@technicacorp.com, 5/26/2011

http://www.gosac-n.org/node/22#comments OASIS Open Standards SAML W3C WS-Security XACML Thu, 26 May 2011 19:46:31 +0000 nduan 22 at http://www.gosac-n.org Home http://www.gosac-n.org/home

A/ PBAC ABAC Access Control Department of Defense DoD Extensible Access Control Markup Language Federal GOSAC GOSAC-N GOSACN Government iDAM Intelligence Intelligence Community PBAC PDP PEP Policy Based Access Control Solutions RBAC SAML Security Security Assertion Markup Language Security Community Technica U.S. Department of Defense XACML ZBAC Tue, 10 May 2011 18:36:15 +0000 admin 5 at http://www.gosac-n.org
